Hi there, I’m Kelly.

I’m a Principal Clinical Research Scientist on the Research & Impact Team at Crisis Text Line. Previously, I was the Director of Research at Franciscan Children's Hospital in Brighton, MA and a Research Scientist in the Department of Psychology at Harvard University. I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Auburn University. I completed my postdoctoral fellowship in the Nock Lab at Harvard University, where I worked in collaboration with the Military Suicide Research Consortium and Army STARRS.

My research is focused on improving the prediction and prevention of suicide, including how technology and AI can be used to identify risk, support effective interventions, and respond safely to people experiencing mental health crises. My research has been published in 50+ scientific papers and has been funded by the National Institute of Mental Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Department of Defense.

As a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Massachusetts (License #11869), I maintain a psychotherapy private practice and am an affiliate psychologist at Two Brattle Center.
